1 TV Watching

Prolonged TV watching is a strong predictor for obesity. Recent research has proved that people who watch around two hours of TV per day are much more likely to be overweight than those who watched only half an hour per day. When you watch TV you are virtually motionless. Your heart rate, blood pressure and metabolic rate decline, resulting in burning 20 to 30 calories less per hour. Research by Harvard University has shown that there is a link between the amount children eat and the amount of television they watch.

Regular use of linseed oil normalizes the body and helps in many diseases. It is because of the high content of omega - 3 and omega - 6 oils, that flax seed helps to normalize metabolic processes in the body and has the following useful medicinal properties.

Baked potatoes are always tasty. But you can cook it better. To do that, you should use a knife: make accurate cuts accordion-shape and fill them with garlic and rosemary. TThe smell of rosmary can only be compared with the smell of baked potatoes; as for the garlic, it turns out to be dainty while cooking. Accordion potato even has its name - Hasselback Potatoes.

Lately, she’s been letting the bathroom mirrors fog up whenever she showers. Sure, it’s pretty staggering when she tries to get out, the moisture, the heat. Like she’s trying to get dressed in a sauna. She could open a window, or leave the door a crack.

But then the mirror would clear up.
Then she’d have to look.

1. Egg white mask
Queen Elizabeth often used this old, yet effective tip.
This mask increases the elasticity of the skin, reduces redness and swelling.
Break one egg and separate the white from the yolk, apply the protein mass evenly onto your face.

Hey Beauty Lovers! I am going to start doing a fun series which will be posted at least once a month. It will be called the All About series. In these posts, I will take you on a beauty journey. You will learn all about a certain type of product and the history behind each product. I think it is awesome to be informed on what products we use. I will give a brief historical background and information about what the product entails. I will then talk about all the different product forms and give a few tutorials on how to use the products. So without further ado, let’s get onto the first All About post. First up is…EYELINER!

1. Cheer on an amateur sports team in your city. It’s just as fun as supporting a Real Team but tickets are dirt cheap. My city’s non-pro baseball team has a few dates during the summer where tickets are $5 and they have $1 beers all night. Also, until we got a new baseball stadium whenever there was a home game on a Wednesday you could get in for $3 with a student ID (mine didn’t include a date so no one knew I graduated ~3 years ago).

1. Use dry shampoo.
Some companies began to offer "dry shampoos" that look like powder, absorbing oil and leaving the hair fresher. Baking soda can replace this.
Thus, if you do not have time for a usual washing of your hair, place a pinch of baking soda onto the roots of the hair. Carefully comb out the baking soda crystals. Instead of baking soda, some people use flour, but here it is necessary to have blond hair and apply very carefully.

Life Hacks for Women

Clever new “life hacks” seem to pop up every day on social media, and whenever I see one, I have to take a look. Life is hectic enough; who wouldn’t like a good hack to make things a little simpler? Here are a few of my favorites specifically for us real women who are just trying to women.

It's better for you to choose the day to get a haircut. If you cut it on a crescent moon, it will grow quicklier, if on a waxing moon, it will grow slowlier, but stronger. It's also important wat day to get a haircut.

In the cold winter months (and all the time) it is important to take care of your skin. But but but, instead of spending $50 on a fancy facial, just grab some ingredients that you most likely have at your house already! DIY Face Masks are definitely the way to go. You know everything that goes into them – saving your face from harsh chemicals – and what is better than putting on a mask at home then sitting and watching an episode of Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix and sipping on coffee.. or wine.. depending on the time of day

Valentine’s Day falls on Sunday this year. My favorite time of the week is always Sunday morning. Tas and I like taking our time and enjoying the moment on Sundays. We stay in bed a bit longer than usual. When we finally get up, Tas makes us a nice coffee in our French press, I throw together a breakfast with minimal dishes, and then we cozy up on the couch watching Bloodline on Netflix.   This sounds so cheesy… But what the hell, it’s Valentine’s Day, right?
