Dear Men,

We need to take a break. I need some time to breathe, learn, and prioritize myself. I know I’ll come back to you one day. I will admit that I want a husband and kids and a golden retriever and that white picket fence – but not right now.

1. I WAS ASLEEP AND WOKE UP TO HER PLAYING WITH MY DICK

“With an ex (my GF at the time). I was asleep and woke up to her playing with my dick. She hopped on top, I was half-awake so when I came it was super-intense. Almost like when sensations happen in dreams and it feels like you’re on drugs. We had opposite schedules so she would frequently wake me up like that, but that one half-asleep time was the best.”

Before I started dating my partner of eight years, a quiz on his Myspace profile (this was 2007, okay?) said that he liked blondes, redheads, and women with green eyes. I was a black-haired, brown-eyed teen who was crushing hard on him. His preferences were a small obstacle.

1. Crystal Renn: yoga

Crystal Renn was formerly a plus-size model, but now let see her slender body like bikini model. The secret of her weight loss? "I have been doing yoga for a while now," she admits. "That makes you aware of how to move your body."

If there’s any one reason the holidays lose the luster of childhood wonder as the years go on, it is because we are increasingly less present. We focus more on the status of gifts than the meaning behind them, the obligations we hold rather than the desires we have, the things we want more than the people we miss. Make this year the first in changing your holiday tune – here are a few ways to start:

1. Write thoughtful, handwritten, personalized cards. Attach them to gifts, send them to your grandmother, even write a personal note to your boss. It’s the best way to not just let people know they are seen, but appreciated in your life.

1. Saving Money. Easy to say; hard to do. Spend less. Save more.

2. Losing Weight: Easy to say; hard to do. Eat less. Work out more.

3. Maintaining Weight Loss: Always doing with less and keeping your goal in mind to just maintain status quo is hard.

You can alter someone's dreams as they are dreaming.

What the brain does, ever so often, is include stimuli happening in reality in whatever one is dreaming. Say you throw water on someone who is sleeping and she wakes up all of a sudden and narrates what she saw in her dreams.

1. Be Realistic About How Lazy You Are

Are you really going to wear heels? Are you really going to go to the gym? Probably not. So, don’t pack heels and gym clothes. They will just silently mock you from your suitcase. Who goes to the gym on Christmas anyways?!

Gentlemen, can you guess the number one complaint that men have about their relationships?

Of course you can. It’s —”not enough sex.”

The Wall Street Journal reports that men cite their partner’s low sex drive as a major deal breaker in longer-term relationships.

Can you relate?

Yes and no.

No. (a slice or two every once in a while)

Body's largest organ?

People with a good sense of humor increased their odds of  survival by 31 percent, according to a 2006 Norwegian study of  critically ill patients. When something strikes you as funny your body  produces less aging stress hormones, explains Dr. Bruce Rabin, medical  director of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Healthy  Lifestyle Program.

1. PEED ON MY HEAD WHILE I WAS SLEEPING

“My cat, now deceased, peed on my head and pillow while I was sleeping.”

2015 was hell for me. I know I am not supposed to say that.

I am supposed to say that everything went well, that because I have awesome friends and family and a recent diploma from a great university I should be grateful and stop being so negative. But this year took be me by the hand, slapped me around and hasn’t delivered an apology.

Most of my writing is purposefully measured. I equivocate on my opinion, not because I don’t have one, but because I believe we’re in a time of increasing divisiveness — and I choose not to add to that conversation. In a way, I think this post will end up feeling like an explanation or justification, but sometimes those are necessary. Sometimes you have to write in order to find out why you do the things you do.

It’s both cultural and personal.

In Portugal it’s culturally acceptable to eat horsemeat and snails just as in France: escargot. I (a Portuguese) would never eat horsemeat (or dogmeat for that matter) -- my personal attitude. Most Brazilians or Americans wouldn’t ever be caught eating snails -- I think them delicious, when seasoned and cooked right, accompanied with a fine cold beer.

Peppers

You may have heard that spicy hot peppers can help you scorch  calories, but did you know that mild peppers can have the same effect?

People eat McDonald's food because it is delicious and it is cheap.
