A Delicious Clever Cake
For those, who didn't know such a miracle cake, I'll explain why it's called like this. All the ingredients are mixed and we have a very liquid pastry, but in the oven it separates into layers in a clever way: so you get a cake with a cream in the middle. Split into layers happens because of the fat ingredients.
Time for baking: 15 minutes.
You'll need a baking form 20x20cm size.
Ingredients:
4 eggs
125g butter
500 ml warm milk
115 g flour
150 g sugar
1/2-1 tsp vanillin
1 tbs water.
Method:
1. Separate the egg yolks from the egg-whites.
2. Whisk the egg-whites till a steady foam.
3. Whisk egg yolks with sugar, vanillin and water.
4. Melt the butter and cool.
5. Add cool butter to the yolks and whisk again.
6. Add flour in 3 steps, whisking after each step.
7. Pour a half of milk, whisk carefully, then add the rest of milk and whisk again.
8. Add egg-whites carefully, moving from up to down.
Grease the baking form and sprinkle with flour (a form should be nonseparable). Pour the pastry into the form (the pastry will be more liquid than for pancakes). Put into the oven at 175C for 40-80 minutes, depending on the oven. Orientate on a surface: it should brown and the contents should wave a little bit. Cool fully. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
